Rules and Regulations
- Use of dock space shall be at Lessee’s sole risk. WACCA WACHE MARINA shall not be liable for the care or protection of the Lessee’s boat or for any loss or damage of whatever kind or nature to the Lessee’s boat (including its gear, equipment, and contents) and including designated persons, Lessee, or guests while on the property or at the Marina. Lessee agrees to hold harmless and indemnify Wacca Wache Marina and their subtenants, representatives, agents and/or employees from any claim or demand arising from or out of the occupancy of a boat slip at Wacca Wache Marina in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.
- The Marina may refuse to rent dock spaces to any person for any reason.
- All dock space shall be payable in advance.
- Lessee agrees to comply with the Rules and Regulations of Wacca Wache Marina attached hereto. Wacca Wache Marina reserves the right to terminate this Agreement immediately should lessees or his guest breach the Agreement of said Rules and Regulations.
- Boaters agree to have their boats insured. Each boater will be held responsible for damages he may cause to other boats in the Marina or to the structures or facilities at the Marina. A current certificate of Insurance and current registration must be submitted with this slip agreement as well as kept updated with the Marina office as expiration dates should occur.
- Wacca Wache Marina shall have alien against the above-described boat (including its gear and equipment) for any unpaid sums due for the use of the dock facilities, service invoices, power, and water and for damage caused or contributed to by the above-described boat or by the Lessee to any docks or property of Wacca Wache Marina.
- Lessee agrees to pay all attorneys’ fees and other legal and collection expenses incurred by Wacca Wache Marina in enforcing any of the obligations under this contract.
- Water Safety-Rules of the road apply. Boats shall be equipped & operated as required by applicable laws. No wake is allowed in the area. No fueling of any kind is allowed at Wacca Wache Marina docks.
- Boat owners shall not place or install anything, including but not limited to, dock boxes, planters, supplies, materials, accessories, or debris on walkway, pilings, or docks without prior approval of management.
- Any boat renting a slip and docked at Wacca Wache Marina is to be used solely for recreational use ONLY and shall NOT be used for any commercial or business undertaking. Any commercial fishing boats, charter boat or rental boat businesses and live aboards are not permitted without the consent of the Marina’s Owner and/or General Manager and a signed Commercial Operating Agreement.
- Always park so others can get out. If your car is parked improperly, it will be towed at your expense.
- Pets are to be leashed at all times while at the Marina and must not run loose on the grounds or other people’s boats. Owners must clean up any mess the pet makes. We reserve the right to order a pet owner to remove the pet from the property at any time and for any reason, as well as banning all pets from the Marina.
- On boats, heads may not be used in the Marina unless equipped with an approved sanitary treatment system. Heads are provided on land. If you use the heads on land, please be considerate and leave them clean for the next person.
- Boaters and Boaters’ guests agree to always conduct themselves while on the property of the Marina, or on any boat docked at the Marina, so as not to create a nuisance, hazard, or annoyance to the Marina or to the other Boaters. Noise shall be always kept to a minimum. Boaters shall use discretion in operating engines, generators, radios, televisions, etc., so as not to create a disturbance. Children should be accompanied by adults at all times and are not allowed to run on the dock. It is recommended that non-swimmers wear lifejackets when on or near water.
- The Marina will launch and store any boat in dry storage once daily at no charge; however, for each landing in excess of one a day, or not showing up for a launch, there will be a charge of $50.00. Boats to be stored must be returned by the time posted at the dry storage office at the Marina or the boat will be considered to have been returned after hours and the Marina will not be liable for any loss or damage of whatever kind or matter to the boat, its contents, gear, or equipment. The boat will be stored during normal working hours on the first working day following an after-hours return.
- No charcoal barbecues or other open fuel appliances are to be lighted on docks or on docked boats. No coal or wood stoves shall be used at this Marina or on board any boat docked at this Marina at any time.
- Any boat stored in dry storage facility will be required to have a minimum of two fenders and two dock lines. The Marina may replace, at the owner’s expense, any fenders or dock lines considered by the Marina to be inadequate.
- This contract is for the Vessel LISTED ON THE FRONT ONLY. No assignments or subleases are allowed and No transfer of boats between slips will be allowed without prior consent from the Marina’s Owners and/or General Manager. Any layovers beyond contracted time will be charged prevailing rate per ft. per day. Slip payments are due whether vessel occupies the slip or not.
- In the event of a severe storm or hurricane, the owner of the boat or his agent shall be solely responsible to take all emergency measures for said protection and/or damages to the owner’s boat.
- Outside contractors must sign in, provide current insurance, and follow all Marina rules and regulations. Outside contractors may also be subject to a 10% commission payable to Wacca Wache Marina.
- Please see management for any hazardous waste removal such as used oil or antifreeze etc.
- Wacca Wache Marina reserves the right to haul any vessel which constitutes a hazard in any way including safety, environmental or otherwise subject to emergency haul out of fees which are 1.5% x’s the norm.
- Wacca Wache Marina reserves the right to use any open slip or any purpose without stated permission of the lessee. If a customer expects to have his/her vessel out of the slip overnight, the yard MUST be notified. Wacca Wache Marina reserves the right to lease the slip during any such period. Failure to notify marina may result in Lessee’s slip being occupied upon their return.
- Any trailer stored on property will incur a per season charge. A contract must be on file in the office and trailers must be labeled or tagged with the owner’s name.
- Swimming is not allowed in the basin due to potential stray electrical current from boats and potentially hazardous marine life, i.e., snakes, turtles, and alligators.
- Pump outs $20 each after 2 per month.

Thank you for choosing Wacca Wache Marina as your homeport. We’re happy you chose us and we want to do everything we can to make sure you get the most out of your time with us. Here are a few friendly reminders and tips to ensure that your time in dry storage is everything you hoped it would be and then some.
* Please allow for an hour launch time and notify the office when you will be arriving to pick up your boat. Please be aware that on Holidays or busy weekends, launch times will vary. X_______
* Please only park in designated parking areas. Any vehicles parked by the pontoon cradles, (east side of the island), or by the launch ramp will be towed at the owners expense. X________
* Dock lines should be a minimum of 10 feet in length and fastened to the starboard side of the vessel as well as any fenders. If the boat has NO lines or fenders, the credit card on file will be charged for them. X________
* Drape covers are encouraged but not mandatory. These help to lessen the diesel soot that is left on the boat as it sits in storage. We are not responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of your boat. How you leave the boat in the water, is how we will haul it and put it up in dry storage. Please make sure all canvas and covers are on. X_______
* Please fold down collapsible bimini tops and antennas when the boat is returned. Please make sure outboards and outdrives are left down and trim tabs are left up. If we need to get onto your boat to take care of any of these issues or if we need to turn off a battery switch you will be charged a $25 fee. Pictures will be taken to justify the charges. X________
* There are trash receptacles on both sides of the docks for your convenience.
* If you return after hours, your boat will be retrieved first thing the following morning.
* If you want to ensure that your boat is retrieved the same day, we ask that you return 1 hour before close.
* When your boat is hauled, we pull the plug to drain the water, scrub from the water line down to remove river scum, and we will put on your drape cover if you provided one. Any zip, snap or t- top covers will NOT be put on by staff. X_____
* We have fuel in dry storage that is available upon request, however you must have a credit card on file with the marina office. Fuel for dry storage customers is seasonal, and will run from April till October. For your convenience, we also offer 10lbs bags of ice, $2.00 per bag.
* The forklift(s) requires maintenance to ensure safe functioning. We do our best to inform you if this will be occurring and advise that if you want your boat during this time, you request for it to be launched the day prior. If there is an unexpected mechanical issue with the forklift, we are not responsible to reimburse / credit you for storage. X________
* Dry storage will launch your boat once daily at no charge however, for each landing in excess of one a day, OR not showing up for a launch, there will be a $50.00 charge. X______
* ALL launches or requests for work racks, and trailers to be pulled, MUST be called into the office. Voicemails will not be accepted as a request. Please keep in mind that we might be on the other line, so please call back if we do not answer the phone. X________
* Request for a work rack requires 24 hour notice. Work racks will not be available Saturday and Sunday during the busy season. X_______

Thank you for choosing Wacca Wache Marina as your homeport. We’re happy you chose us and we want to do everything we can to make sure you get the most out of your time with us. Here are a few friendly reminders and tips to ensure that your time at the marina is everything you hoped it would be and then some.
• All Boats docked and stored at Wacca Wache Marina MUST have active insurance, and keep their insurance in good standing throughout their contractual agreement with the marina X____
• All boats must have a hard wired bilge pump with an automatic float switch. If your boat does NOT have one, one must be installed prior to leaving it in the water at the marina. If you need one installed Wacca Wache will install one and we will charge the card on file. If the marina needs to haul and or launch the boat you will be charged $4.00per foot for this service. X______
• Each slip has a dock box, water hookup, and electric. Electric is a monthly charge of $50 per cord. You might need an adapter depending on what service your boat requires. Please keep your dock lines OUT of the water. Water is free of charge. You may put a lock on the dock box. If you contract expires, and you leave the slip, we have the right to cut that lock and remove the contents of the dock box, as a new tenant will need that space. X______
• Pump outs are free for slip customers. You area allowed 2 per month, anything over that is a charge of $20.00 per pump out. You will also need to fill out a pump out release form X_______
• Tropical Storms and Hurricanes: Wacca Wache Marina asks that ALL canvas and bimini tops be taken down to prevent damage from wind. Mooring covers are OK to leave as is, as long as they are all snapped down. We ask that you make sure your boat is properly secured and to tie extra lines to ensure the safety of the marina and your fellow slip neighbors. IF the marina has to take down any canvas, or add extra lines, you will be notified and your card on file will be charged accordingly for time and materials. If the marina has to take down any enclosure, we are not responsible for safe keeping, and or putting them back up. X_________
• We ask that you keep walkways and finger piers by boat free of debris or anything that may cause an accident.
• Dock carts are available at each of the landings and are there for your convenience. We ask that you return them to the landing when you are done using them.
• Each landing is equipped with a large garbage can as well as a recycling bin. Please use these cans instead of leaving garbage on the docks.
• Dock walks are done three times a day, morning, mid-day, and before closing time. If you see something that is not right please let the office know right away so we can make it right.
